Championing Character - Homeschool Classes

Students will benefit from exposure to a range of professionals (doctors, broadcasters, lawyers, etc.) throughout the year as part of our Careers, Communication and Connection class. Photo is AI-generated representation.

Location: Colonial Oaks Park, Sarasota, FL beginning every Wednesday starting on September 3, 2025.

We’re excited to offer two engaging classes that help kids build character, strengthen communication skills, and grow in confidence. Starting in September, sessions will be held every Wedneday in a gym and classroom setting. The classes are led by Kevin and Nicole Anselmo (bios below). Championing Character homeschool classes are faith-based (Christian) and offered through Championing Character LLC.

For both classes, parents are welcome to drop off their children or to join us. There is potential for us to offer other classes in the future.

*Descriptions for each class are below.
** 25% off for siblings. Not happy with the classes? No problem - we will provide a refund for that day’s session.
*** We are in the process of getting our program approved for the Step Up for Students scholarship, which will allow you to pay for classes directly through the Marketplace.

🎯Mission

Our goal is to help students grow in character and competence. We do this through integrating sports, career exploration, real-world communication and leadership development — all through a Christian, faith-based lens. A person can have amazing talents, but without character and the right mentality, those gifts won’t be fully utilized. In the worst case, they can be wasted. Let’s champion kids’ character growth with the hope that this will guide and sustain them through all of life’s ups and downs.

🧭Values

  • Christian ✝️ – perspective. (We welcome students and families in our community who may not share our faith).

  • Character 💪 – Prioritizing life skills that can be applied in various walks of life.

  • Curiosity 🧠 – Encouraging students to ask questions, explore and grow.

  • Community 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 – Creating space for connection.

To support our values, students are not permitted to have access to unsupervised screens.
